Shifts: 7am -3pm Monday - Friday



The Nurse House Manager responsibilities include providing for the emotional, medical, and physical needs of Danville’s clients and improving their quality of life by observing, documenting, reporting, taking action and following-up on their health, safety, and medical needs, and implementing medical recommendations made by the team. Hire, develop and manage nursing staff following state and Nurse Practice Act requirements.    




·       Personal conduct should be professional at all times, and consistent with Danville’s culture, mission, values, philosophy, and policies and procedures.

·       Hire, manage, and develop nursing employees consistent with Danville’s culture, mission, values, Danville policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

·       Assess, document per state and Danville protocols, and report to the appropriate management any changes in clients’ condition, including, but not limited to, signs and symptoms which may be indicative of changes in their overall health, lung sounds, vital signs, changes in pain status, and skin integrity. In case of emergency, call 911 and contact the Director of Nursing, or designee, immediately.

·       Administer medication and topical treatments to clients as prescribed, following Danville’s procedures, including the six step procedure, and according to clients’ individual medication protocols.

·       Support clients in maintaining good personal hygiene.

·       Ensure clients’ privacy is respected at all times.

·       Report to work on time, and if unable to report to work, or if there is a need to come to work late, or leave early, follow Danville’s approval policy.

·       Complete required in-service and on-going training requirements within Danville and state required timeframes and meeting region required competency levels.

·       Assure thorough, timely, communication with all employees, and or external agencies, regarding issues related to clients’ health and quality of life.

·       As necessary, or requested, safely transport clients to and from activities, work, and home, and comply with Danville’s vehicle safety, maintenance, and cell phone use policies.

·       Assist with employee development throughout the region and/or the company if requested.



Physical Requirements
:  Requires repetitive manual and finger dexterity and eye- hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate body mechanics. Must be able to remain awake and alert for the duration of each shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time. Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while assisting with the transfer of individuals weighing up to 250 pounds, utilizing manual or mechanical lifting devices.

Visual, hearing, and communication requirements: Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally, and in writing, with all staff, other professionals, and clients. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English.

Work location: Home-like and office settings with varying degrees of background noise. The possibility of exposure to blood borne pathogens exists if universal precautions are not followed. May require working under stressful conditions, and handling emergencies. There will be pressure at times to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines and manage crisis situations. This position will interact with consumers who are intellectually and developmentally delayed and may be frail or confused and have the potential for verbal or physical aggression.



Education and Experience 

·       RN Degree (AD, BSN or MSN or LPN) from an accredited school of nursing

·       Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred


Additional Requirements 

·       Must be able to pass a criminal background/fingerprint and central registry check

·       Must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and an insurable driving record

·       Nursing license must be valid in the State of AZ with no adverse actions

·       Must have good interpersonal communication skills

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office

·       Basic keyboarding and computer skills

·       Must be highly organized


Special Skills/Training/Certifications 

·       Must have an unencumbered state license

·       CPR/First Aid
