Las Vegas Lead Support Staff

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Shifts: Full Time

Danville Services is dedicated to helping every client achieve his or her desired quality of life. People with a disability often require assistance to manage life’s daily challenges. We are here every single day, with our chins up and our hearts open, to support these people with love, compassion, and dedication.

We support our clients every day whether they are enjoying their morning routine, exploring new things in the community, or getting ready for a family style dinner and quiet evening at home; our employees enrich the lives of our clients (and they enrich ours!).

  • Do you take pride in following policies and in being a great role model?
  • Do you relish in teaching new team members the ropes?
  • Is paperwork one of your strong suits?
  • Do you genuinely enjoy supporting people with intellectual disabilities and want an opportunity to enhance your skills?
  • Do you step up to go above and beyond in supporting your team and your manager?

Whether you’re a quiet worker or a more vocal leader this position may be your chance to take a step further in your direct support career. Without the responsibility of being on call or in a supervisory role, you can grow your knowledge of the supported living field, while learning the ins and outs of the next level in providing support to our individuals.

We take client-care seriously; part of that philosophy includes the ongoing support and continued training of our Direct Support Professionals. We are looking for a Lead Support Staff that embraces those ideals, and loves bringing joy to others.

The Lead Support Staff is responsible to provide exemplary and routine Direct Support. The Lead Support Staff also assists the Program Manager with managing the program, including, but not limited to:

  • Filing and replacing monthly data sheets
  • Overseeing the accurate completion of weekly client menus and coordinating with the Program Manager to ensure grocery shopping and budgets are complete and accurate
  • Completing or delegating monthly fire and earthquake drills and accurately documenting them
  • Supporting Program Manager with monthly billing and ensuring that hours worked are accurately documented
  • Support with medical needs including appointments, proper documentation, ensuring treatment notes are communicated to the team, and following up with any medical concerns or issues

This position requires a flexible, full time schedule, performing varying assignments, and commuting between programs. Will also be required to support individuals with utilizing public transportation to appointments. This would be including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting individuals to schedule public transportation rides
  • Accompanying individuals on public transportation rides
  • Walking to and from bus stops, etc. as needed
  • Supporting individuals to utilize public transportation during times of possible inclement weather and accompanying them during these times (in the Las Vegas area “inclement weather” often means extreme high temperatures, wind, rain, etc.)

We have outstanding benefits. Employees enjoy a flexible paid time off schedule; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; short-term and long-term disability, along with a great employee assistance program; ongoing training and development; and last but not least the knowledge that they are making a difference in the lives of our clients.

$11.50/hr with opportunity for wage increase after 12 weeks for eligible candidates!
